On 07/15/18 at 10:43 P.M., officers of the Janesville Police Department were sent to the report of a subject passed out in a vehicle at 1215 Milton Ave. Officers arrived and found an unconscious male operating a motor vehicle. Officers were able to wake up the driver who was identified as David R. Green.
Green displayed signs of impairment. Green submitted to standardized field sobriety testing. Based upon the officer’s observations, there was probable cause to arrest Green for OWI. A check of his driving record showed 5 prior convictions. Green was subsequently arrested for OWI-6th offense. Green refused to submit to an evidentiary chemical testing of his blood. A search warrant was applied for and granted by a judge. The results of that test are pending.
Green was held at the Rock County Jail pending an initial appearance.
