The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a
* Flood Advisory for... Southeastern Forsyth County in central North Carolina... Northeastern Davidson County in central North Carolina...
* Until 430 AM EDT
* At 229 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow moving thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to two and a half inches of rain have already fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Winston-Salem, Thomasville, Kernersville, Welcome, Sedge Garden and Arcadia. Additional rainfall of one to two inches is expected over the area through 4 AM EDT. This additional rain will cause minor flooding, and significant rises in the water level on Reedy Creek and Brushy Fork Creek in northern Davidson County.
* AFFECTED AREAS: DAVIDSON, NC ... FORSYTH, NC
Instructions:
Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground. Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely.
