Synopsis: A white male, was driving a black Honda Odyssey mini-van N/B on 6th Ave. The driver disregarded a uniformed Traffic Control Officer and barricaded street at 6th and Laurel St. The traffic Control Officer had to jump out of the way to avoid being struck. The driver continued through the barricade, N/B 6th Ave. and eventually turned W/B on Anderson Pl. The driver then went N/B 5th Ave. and turned to W/B Washington St. As the driver turned, he struck a parked vehicle occupied by a 29 year old pregnant woman. The driver fled the scene and failed to yield to SDPD Officers. A pursuit ensued which went S/B I-5 to E/B SR-94 to N/B SR-125. The suspect exited Lemon Ave. and was pursued on surface streets through the City of La Mesa. The suspect collided with a SDPD K-9 Unit and eventually came to a stop in the parking lot of the La Mesa Arts Academy. The suspect fled from the car and eluded capture after an exhaustive search. The pregnant woman who was in the parked vehicle complained of minor pain as a result of the collision. No SDPD personnel were injured. There is absolutely no indication the suspect intentionally attempted to run anyone over with his vehicle, nor target anyone. It is apparent the suspect was merely trying to leave the area and then was attempting to elude capture. The suspect is described as a WM in his 30's with close-cut hair and a dark colored shirt. Western Division detectives, in conjunction with Traffic Division personnel, will be conducting the investigation.

Inc Type: Stabbing
Synopsis: A concerned citizen found a White male sitting on a bus bench on the south side of 4900 El Cajon Blvd. The male had several stab wounds to his back. SDPD arrived and found a 36 year old WM with five stab wounds to his upper back. The male indicated he was homeless, but could not give any details surrounding the stabbing. The victim also could not provide a description of the suspect or suspects who stabbed him. There was a significant amount of blood found a very short distance away from the male. The male was transported to an area hospital by paramedics. The victim's injuries were determined to be non-life threatening. Mid-City Division Detectives responded and will be conducting the investigation.
