Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the below pictured suspect being sought for questioning in connection with a shooting that occurred this morning.

Shortly after 4:30 a.m., police responded to Georgia King Village on a call of an aggravated assault. A man shot at a woman following a quarrel and physical altercation inside a residence.

Detectives investigating this incident are seeking the public’s assistance in quickly locating this individual and removing him from our streets.

Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about this suspect to call the Department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) or 1-877-NWK-GUNS (1-877-695-4867). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
