July 3rd:

Illegal Credit Card Skimmer – Exxon: 10602 San Pablo Ave:
At 1038 hours, an officer responded to the report of suspicious wires hanging from the gas pumps at Exxon. The officer located two Bluetooth skimming devices incorporated within the pumps.

July 4th:

Shoplifter - CVS 670 EC Plaza:
At 1159 hours, an officer responded to the report of a shoplifter stealing bottles of alcoholic beverages. The manager chased the suspect to San Pablo Ave. / Carlson Blvd where Albany PD detained him. The suspect, a 35-year-old Richmond man, was placed under citizen’s arrest. He was also on three separate probation dockets in Alameda County and was intoxicated. He was arrested, booked and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon / Traffic Pursuit - 3040 EC Plaza:
At 1658 hours, an officer responded to the report of a DUI driver at Yammy Sushi. The restaurant refused to serve him due to his belligerent behavior. An officer located the vehicle unoccupied at 3040 EC Plaza in the disabled zone. A 49-year-old Berkeley man got into the car and nearly ran over an officer. He fled westbound onto Carlson Blvd. A short pursuit to the Blue Moon Saloon ensued where the subject was taken into custody. The subject was driving on a suspended license and wearing an ankle monitor as a condition of his pre-trial release for previous DUI case. He was booked and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

July 5th:

Vandalism: 400 block of Balra Dr:
At 0715 hours, an officer responded to the report of vandalism. An unidentified suspect detonated a firecracker in a porta-potty, cracking the door.

Auto Burglaries – Starbucks: 11861 San Pablo Ave:
At 0823 hours, officers responded to the report of two auto burglaries. An unidentified suspect smashed windows and removed property in between 0820 and 0822 hours.

Felon in Possession of Ammunition and Unlicensed Driver: Harvard Ave. / Cutting Blvd:
At 0919 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted a 29-year-old Oakland man. The subject, a previously convicted felon was found to be in possession of ammunition. He also initially provided a false name. He was booked, identified, and released with a citation.

Warrant Arrest / False Identity: San Pablo Ave. / Wall Ave:
At 1157 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted a 25-year-old Oakland woman. She provided a false name belonging to someone else. Her true identity was uncovered, and she was found to have two felony warrants for her arrest. She was booked and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

July 6th

Grand Theft from Vehicle – 2000 block of Key Blvd.
An unknown suspect stole the tires and rims from the victim’s 2018 Dodge Charger. The theft occurred between 0000 – 0630 hours.

Residential Burglary – 500 block of Balra Dr.
Sometime between 1000 hours on July 5th to 0600 hours on July 6th, an unknown suspect removed the window screen to the victim’s open front window, reached inside and stole two laptops and a cell phone.

Vandalism – 5300 block of Cypress Ave.
Sometime between 2230 hours on July 5th and 0900 hours on July 6th, an unknown suspect shattered three windows to the victim’s white Lexus 350.

Stolen Motorcycle – 5700 block of Lassen St.
Sometime between 1600 hours on July 3rd to 0930 hours on July 6th, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s 2015 black/orange colored KTM 390 Duke motorcycle, which was parked in front of his residence.

Shoplifting – 1000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 1845 hours, an officer reports the arrest of a 65-year-old male (Berkeley) for entering the business and stealing merchandise.

Robbery/Battery/Resisting an Officer/ and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: 1751 Eastshore Boulevard:
At 2025 hours, El Cerrito Officers report the arrest of a 25-year-old male (Richmond) who just assaulted and robbed his girlfriend. When Officers attempted to contact the subject, he was hiding and failed to comply with the officer’s orders. The male subject was arrested and found in possession of drug paraphernalia.

July 7th

Vandalism – Chase Bank 9950 San Pablo Ave.
At approximately 0903 hours, a BART PD officer was flagged down by the victim who stated that a male just keyed his vehicle. The BART PD officer detained a 57-year-old male from San Francisco. El Cerrito police officers arrived, and the male was placed under citizen’s arrested. The male was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released on a citation.

Stolen Vehicle/ Possession of Controlled Substance- Central Ave/Pierce Street:
At 1848 hours, an officer reports the arrest of a 58-year-old male (Berkeley) and a 49-year-old male (El Cerrito) for being in possession of a stolen motorcycle and a controlled substance.

Vandalism- 4010 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 1939 hours, an officer reports that an unknown suspect shattered the passenger side windows of the victim’s Toyota Rav4. Time of occurrence was 1900 to 1930 hours.

Stolen Vehicle/ Possession of Controlled Substance/ Warrant Arrest- Downey Ave/Wilson Way:
At 0108 hours, an officer reports the arrest of a 39-year-old female (El Cerrito) for being in possession of a stolen U-Haul truck. The passenger who is a 44-year-old male (El Cerrito) was arrested for an outstanding warrant and for being in possession of controlled substance.

July 8th

Grand Theft – T-Mobile 11511 San Pablo Ave.
At approximately 1453 hours, two suspects entered the store and stole (4) iPhone's and (3) Samsung Galaxy cell phones from the display case. They also damaged (1) iPhone X while attempting to rip it off the wall. The suspects fled to the rear of Ross and got into an awaiting black sedan with paper plates.

Theft of License Plates – 2000 block of Key Blvd.
An unknown suspect stole the front license plate to the victim’s 2011 Ford Transit Connect Van. The theft occurred between 0300 – 1500 hours.

Warrant Arrest – 1900 Block of Key Blvd
At 1858 hours, an officer conducted a suspicious vehicle stop and subsequently arrested a 43-year-old female (Richmond), for an outstanding warrant.

Warrant Arrest – 10900 San Pablo Ave (Police Department)
At 2208 hours, a 26-year-old male (Oakland), turned himself in for an outstanding warrant he had out of Solano County.
