##Update## One of the victims from this shooting has died. IMPD Homicide Detectives arrested a suspect that left two people shot.

##UPDATE##: On July 12,2018 40-year-old Heather Mandujano succumbed to her injuries sustained in the shooting that occurred on July 9,2018 and has died.

COMMUNITY MESSAGE:

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Homicide detectives have arrested John Woodcock (36), for the shooting of Heather Mandujano (40) and Adam Walls (28) on 07/09/2018 in the 1500 blk of Barth Ave.

On July 9, 2018, Officers were dispatched in reference to a person shot in the 1500 blk of Barth Ave. Responding officers located Heather Mandujano (40) and Adam Walls (28) suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. EMS transported both victims to Eskenazi Hospital to be treated for their injuries. Mandujano, remains on life support. Despite the best efforts of medical staff, she is not expected to survive.

Homicide detectives were able to identify and arrest Woodcock as allegedly being involved in the shooting of Mandujano and Walls. Woodcock has been preliminarily charged with attempted murder. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case and make a final charging decision. Detectives with the IMPD Gang, Violent Crime Units, K9 Units and Marion County Sheriff’s Office were instrumental in locating and detaining Woodcock.
