INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Homicide detectives have arrested Michael Cunningham (59) for his alleged involvement in the death of Michael Brown (59), that occurred on 07/10/2018.
On Tuesday July 10th 2018 at 6:11 p.m. Officers were dispatched in reference to a person shot in the 400 blk of E 38th St. Responding officers located a Michael Brown suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. EMS responded and pronounced the Brown dead on-scene. Officers located Michael Cunningham, the other involved person, who was then detained for questioning.
Homicide detectives responded and began canvassing the area for witnesses. Through the course of their investigation, detectives were able to identify and arrest Cunningham as allegedly being involved in the death of Michael Brown. Cunningham was preliminarily charged with murder and was later transported to City-County Building lock-up for processing. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case and make a charging decision.
