Virulent Newcastle Disease Quarantine Imposed in Surrounding Areas
The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) has placed parts of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties under quarantine for the virulent Newcastle disease virus. The CDFA has determined that there are NO Newcastle cases in Norco. The City of Norco Animal Control Services recommends that all residents limit bird movement and interaction – do not accept new birds at this time and do not take your birds off of your property while the surrounding quarantine is in effect. This is the best way to prohibit the Newcastle disease from spreading into Norco.
