#003 Commercial Burglary
An unknown suspect accessed a commercial business in the 3900 block of Washington Blvd. by cutting a hole in the roof, then immediately disconnected the video surveillance system inside.  Loss is Lotto tickets, cigarettes, alcohol and cash.  No suspect info at this time, investigated by CSO Ernst.

#007 Residential Burglary Attempt
A resident arrived home in the 300 block of Little Foot Dr., to see five unknown males jump over her side fence into the front yard, then flee in a white Toyota Camry sedan with no license plate.  No entry was made into the residence.  Video surveillance is pending, investigated by Officer Scherer.

#027 Public Intoxication Arrest
At 5:59 p.m., Officer Soper arrested a 64 year old adult male for being drunk in public after he was reported walking in and out of traffic near Fremont Blvd. and Blacow Rd.

#040 Under the Influence Arrest
At 4:15 p.m., Officer Tucker arrested a 31 year old adult female for being under the influence after community members reported her running through traffic near Stevenson Blvd. and Albrae St.

#041 Estes Robbery
At 4:28 p.m. officers responded to the Smart and Final located on Walnut Ave. for a Estes Robbery that had just occurred.  A female stole several packs of Tide Pods and threatened employees with a Taser.  An area check was conducted with negative results.  Officer Davis was the investigating Officer. 

#047 Missing At-Risk
An 88 year old man with a medical condition putting him at-risk, was reported missing by his family.  Family members advised that he left for a walk approximately 8 hours earlier.  Numerous units responded and began coordinating a search for the subject.  Sgt. Miller sent out a Nixle message with the man’s picture at 6:30 p.m.  Dispatch then contacted a local hospital and learned of a possible “John Doe” match that was being treated at the hospital.  A few minutes later, Fremont Fire also contacted Dispatch and advised that they had transported the male from the Nixle message to a hospital earlier in the day from the area of Los Cerritos Park.  Officer Maniego and FTO Lobue responded to the hospital and confirmed the “John Doe” to be the missing person.  Additional calls came in from community members, and we’d like to thank everyone for their help!

#002 Hit and Run/DUI Arrest
At 1:07 a.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a hit and run, with injury, in the area of Cyprus Dr. and San Juan Ave.  The victim was able to provide the responding officers with a description of the suspect vehicle and its license plate.  Officer Cordero responded to the suspect’s home and located him there.  The adult male was taken into custody for the hit and run as well as driving under the influence.   

#051 Trespassing
Officers responded to the Chapel 7-11 store on the report of a man outside the store bothering customers.  The reporting person stated that the same individual had been issued a trespassing warning a week prior.  Officer Samayoa and Officer Ramirez contacted the male whom they arrested for trespassing and transported to Santa Rita.

#027 Stolen Vehicle Recovered
Office Dubowy located a stolen U-Haul truck with Arizona plates at Shinn Park.  Officer Dubowy recovers the stolen vehicle with no suspect information. 

#015 Fatal Traffic Collision
Officers responded to an auto vs. pedestrian fatal collision in the area of Decoto Rd east of Fremont Blvd.  At 10:35 a.m. an 89 year old Tri-City male resident was struck and killed as he crossed Decoto Rd. just east of Fremont Blvd.  Fremont Police, Fire, and Paramedics Plus all responded.  The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The driver of the involved vehicle, a 25 year old Tri-City male, remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.  Several witnesses stopped and provided statements.  Initial investigation has revealed the male pedestrian was crossing Decoto Rd from north to south when he was struck by a Chevy sedan travelling west bound in number 1 lane of westbound Decoto Rd.   No arrests have been made.   Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected to be involved at this time.  The primary collision factor and who is responsible for the collision has not yet been determined.  Fremont Traffic Officer M. Ramsey is the investigating officer.

#026 Arson
At 4:08 p.m. officers responded to the 39100 block of Sundale Drive in regards to an outside assist.  Fremont Fire was investigating a dumpster fire and requested assistance.  A witness provided a description of a male who was believed to be responsible. As officers were investigating, another arson call came in for a tree fire in the 39500 blk of Ross Co.  A witness description of the responsible person matched the first suspect.  Officers searched the area and located the male in the area of Fremont Blvd and Sundale Drive.  Minor damage consisted of a mattress near the dumpster and a pile of clothes.  The 34 year old adult male suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Rita Jail.

#001 Verified Alarm/Possession of a Controlled Substance Arrest
Officers responded to a verified alarm on Technology Dr.  Off-site security reported watching a live video feed of two males wearing masks enter into the building and had not exited it since the police department was notified.  Officer Madsen arrived on scene and stopped a vehicle as it left the area.  The two occupants matched the suspect descriptions and were detained at the scene.  A 47 year old adult male and 56 year old adult male admitted to looking for scrap metal around the facility.  The 56 year old had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and was in possession of a controlled substance.  The male was arrested and transported to Santa Rita Jail.  Case investigated by Officer Madsen.
