Search warrant leads to the arrest of Russell Gordon for possession of a controlled substance for sales

INCIDENT: PC 11378 Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales
LOCATION: 29000 block of Old Highway 58, Barstow
SUSPECT: Gordon, Russell; 58 years old, of Barstow
SUMMARY:
On Friday, July 6, 2018, at approximately 9:10 am, deputies from the Barstow Sheriff’s Station served a search warrant at a residence located in the 29000 block of Old Highway 58.
With the assistance of Detective Derek Simpson and his K9, Trigger, approximately 3/4 pounds of suspected methamphetamine was located hidden within the residence. Several items commonly associated with the sales of narcotics, including digital scales, packaging material and a large quantity of cash, were also recovered.
The resident, Russell Gordon, was subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sales and transported to the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto.
