SUMMARY:
On July 4, 2018 at approximately 6:00 PM, Deputies Ramstad and Anagnostopoulos responded to the area of Greenspot Road and the 210 Freeway reference a stolen trailer. The victim’s trailer was stolen from the victim’s driveway just minutes prior to the call, in the unincorporated San Bernardino County area of Mentone. The stolen trailer was being towed by a stolen Silver Dodge Ram, which had been previously reported stolen from a victim in the City of Upland. Ramstad and Anagnostopoulos located the vehicle entering the 210 freeway onramp at Greenspot Road. After a short failure to yield, the vehicle veered off the freeway, onto the shoulder, and the three occupants attempted to flee. Two of the three were captured; however, the driver was successful in eluding deputies. The two passengers were identified as 30-year-old Robert Lopez from Riverside County and 32-year-old Paola Iturralde from Riverside County. Two motorcycles that were also reported stolen were in the stolen trailer. A search of the vehicle revealed a large amount of suspected narcotics as well as multiple burglary tools.

Through investigation, deputies positively identified the driver as 32-year-old Robert Stevenson McNeil III. McNeil is a career criminal for theft. A Ramey Warrant was authored and granted and there is an active $200,000 felony warrant for McNeil’s arrest. McNeil is known to frequent the city of Upland and Ontario.
