Attempt murder suspect caught

UPDATE:

Earlier this evening, the Simi Valley Police Department with the assistance of the Santa Paula Police Department captured Oliver Willis. Willis was wanted for attempted murder and was apprehended in the City of Santa Paula.


On July 4, 2018, at approximately 9:51 p.m., the Simi Valley Police Department received a 9-1-1 call regarding a shooting that had just occurred at Citrus Grove Park located at 2100 N. Marvel Avenue. The caller reported a friend had just been shot by a known male suspect. The suspect immediately fled the area on foot after the shooting.

Simi Valley Police Department officers and Ventura County Fire Department personnel responded to the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition having suffered a gunshot wound. The location of the suspect in the shooting is currently unknown and Simi Valley Police Detectives are actively working the case.

Oliver Manning Willis
Age: 20-years-old
Height: 5’ 6”
Weight: 120 pounds
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Blue
Address: Last known residence was in the City of Thousand Oaks

The Simi Valley Police Department Major Crimes Detective Unit is attempting to locate and arrest Willis for 664/187 PC-Attempted Murder. He is considered armed and dangerous.
