Suffolk County Police today arrested a man for robbing two banks in the last three days.

James Kosin walked into Bank of America, located at 47 West Main St., Patchogue, at approximately 11:50 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied and Kosin fled on foot.
 
Deputy Inspector John Rowan broadcast a notification over the police radio after he observed a vehicle fitting the description of the robber’s vehicle traveling on the Long Island Expressway. Highway Patrol Officer Philip Buzzanca heard the notification and a short time later observed the vehicle and a man fitting the description of the bank robber on the William Floyd Parkway in Shirley. Officer Buzzanca arrested Kosin at approximately 2:05 p.m.
 
Following an investigation by Major Case Unit detectives, Kosin was also charged with robbing the TD Bank, located at 1806 Medford Avenue, Medford, on July 3.
 
Kosin was charged with two counts of Robbery 3rd Degree. He will be held overnight at the Seventh Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on July 6.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
