*ARRESTED* #LASD Homicide Detectives Arrest Victim's Stepson for Murder, 4000blk 159th St, Lawndale
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives have made an arrest in the murder of a man in Lawndale. The incident occurred on Wednesday July 4, 2018, at approximately 7:49 p.m., on the 4000 block of 159th Street, Lawndale.
Based on information gathered during the course of the investigation, detectives have arrested Robert Schneider, male White 52 years-old and stepson of the victim. Suspect Schneider was booked at South LA Station and is being held in lieu of $2,000,000 bail.
There are no other suspects being sought.
The victim’s name is not being release at this time.

UPDATE IS AS FOLLOWS:
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a man. The incident occurred on Wednesday July 4, 2018, at approximately 7:49 p.m., on the 4000 block of 159th Street, Lawndale.
Detectives have learned, the victim and suspect were related and engaged in a verbal argument. The suspect stabbed the victim in the mid torso area with a knife. The victim, a male white 74 years-old, was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
The suspect, a male White 52 years-old and stepson of the victim, was detained by station deputies several blocks away from the residence and is currently being held pending interviews with Homicide Detectives.
No other suspects are being sought at this time.
The knife that was used in this incident was recovered at the scene.
The investigation is still ongoing.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to investigate the stabbing death of a man. The incident occurred on Wednesday July 4, 2018, at approximately 7:49 p.m., on the 4000 block of West 159th Street, Lawndale.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
