On July 4, 2018, at 12:01 a.m. Deputy Ben Kiesel conducted a traffic stop on a White 2012 Volkswagen Jetta on US 41 near County Road 350 North. Upon approaching the vehicle 24 year old Kayla Freeman of Vincennes was identified as the driver. During a roadside investigation Ms. Freeman was ran through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and it was discovered that her operator’s license was suspended on a prior conviction. At that point Deputy Kiesel placed Ms. Freeman into custody and transported her to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Ms. Freeman was charged with Driving While Suspended/Prior. She has since posted a $650 bond.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
