The following part 1 crimes were reported this week.   
6/22/18
Theft- 30000 block of Hasley Canyon Road.            
The victim reported several pieces of mail stolen from their mail box.  Among the items stolen was a payroll check from their work.  The theft occurred in the daytime hours.   
6/23/18
Grand Theft Auto- 29000 block of Hancock Parkway.         
The victim reported their 2006 Holiday Rambler RV (CA Lic#5RYC975) stolen from the storage yard.  The crime occurred daytime hours.    
     
   Remember, in any community, the citizens are the first set of eyes and ears for 1^st responders.  It is the community who knows what “does” and “doesn’t” look right.  It is you, the local citizens, who can tell who “does” and “doesn’t” belong in the area.  If you see any suspicious activity, something that doesn’t look “right”, please call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
Please be aware that many of the thefts we have seen in the past have been “Crimes of Opportunity”.  Never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle, close and lock your doors.  Minimize your risk of becoming a victim.
