Reminder to the Burlington Township community that NJ law now allows for the use of sparklers, novelty items, party poppers, snappers and other similar items. These are considered to be non-explosive and non-aerial fireworks.

Any type of firework that shoots into the air and/or explodes such as firecrackers, roman candles, bottle rockets, sky rockets, M-80's or other such items are still illegal in the state and are subject to fines and penalties.

In addition, Burlington Township ordinance prohibits firecrackers, torpedo rockets or other fireworks, and firecrackers or explosives of inflammable material in public parks or recreation areas.
