The excessive heat warning issued by the NWS continues through 8:00 p.m. this evening. Residents in need of a cooling station should go to the Washington Public Library, which is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. today. Unfortunately the air conditioning on the 2nd floor of Borough Hall has gone down and is awaiting repairs. We hope to have the system back up and running today and will update residents once repairs are made.
