Weather Warning

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Northwestern Athens County until 915 PM, Monday, 7/2/2018.

At 618 PM, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area.  Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Nelsonville, Glouster, Chauncey, Buchtel, Jacksonville, Trimble, and Burr Oak State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS;
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
