Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting of two men, in the City Maywood, resulting in the death of one of those men.
At approximately 6:07 PM, Saturday, June 30, 2018, deputies from the East Los Angeles station responded to the 6100 block of Palm Ave. regarding a call of a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, they found two adult male victims in the parking area of an apartment complex. Both men were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. The additional victim was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Investigators believe, the person responsible for the shootings also lived in the same apartment complex and is identified as Victor Manuel Rivas, male Hispanic, 33yo (pictured).
He fled the location in a ‘91 or ‘92 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. The truck has a white bed and a silver or grey cab and is lowered (pictured).
The gun was not recovered at the scene and is still outstanding.
Rivas is considered armed and dangerous. Do not attempt to contact or apprehend Rivas if you see him and immediately call 911.

NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of an adult male, and injury of an additional adult male. The incident occurred on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at approximately 6:07 PM, on the 6100 block of Palm Avenue in Maywood.
One of the male adult victims was pronounced dead at the scene.
The additional male adult victim was transported to a local hospital in an unknown condition as a result of injuries sustained from gunfire.
