Investigators arrest a Victorville man for the murder of his stepfather 
DATE/TIME: Thursday, June 28, 2018 1:11 p.m.
INCIDENT: Murder Investigation
LOCATION: 14600 block of Apache Dr., Victorville
VICTIM: Ramon Diaz, 52 years old, resident of Victorville
SUSPECT: Armando Navarro, 43 years old, resident of Victorville
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, June 28. 2018 at 1:11 p.m. deputies were summoned to the Apache Dr. home for a report of a deceased man inside. Deputies and medical personnel responded and confirmed the male, identified as Ramon Diaz, was deceased. Deputies notified Homicide Investigators due to the suspicious nature of his injuries.
Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators responded to conduct the investigation and they determined Ramon Diaz had suffered multiple stab wounds. Investigators interviewed several family members and following an interview with Armando Navarro (Diaz’ stepson), Navarro was arrested for Murder.
Armando Navarro was booked at West Valley Detention Center for Murder and is being held without bail. He is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday, July 3, 2108 in Victorville Superior Court.
