Advisory

San Luis Obispo Police are trying to identify the victim and family associated with sex registrant Jonathan Davis.

WHAT: Jonathan Davis Arrest Update

WHERE: 3180 Broad, SLO

WHEN: June 23rd, 2018

DEPARTMENT CONTACT: Lieutenant John Bledsoe

On Monday June 25th, 2018 43-year-old Jonathan Davis was arrested by the San Luis Obispo Police Department after he rubbed the hair of a 10-year-old girl inside a business in downtown SLO. After Davis’s arrest, four other reports have been filed identifying Davis as touching other young girls. Davis was initially charged with misdemeanors for Annoying/Molesting these victims. The San Luis Obispo Police Department has amended these charges to felonies based on Davis’s prior history which included similar crimes and forced him to register as a sex offender. Davis remains in custody at the San Luis Obispo County Jail with his bail set at $100,000 dollars.

On Thursday June 28th, another report was filed with SLO PD where Davis again rubbed his fingers through the victim’s hair. This incident occurred at the Chevron gas station at 3180 Broad on Saturday June 23rd, 2018 at approximately 11:00 am. It appears the victim entered the store to pay for gasoline. While standing at the counter, Davis approached the girl, rubbed his fingers through her hair then left the store. The victim in this case is a female white approximately 8 to 10 years of age. She was wearing a black short sleeve “Giants” t-shirt and black leggings pants. The victim was seen leaving in a white 4-door BMW 5 series sedan seen below. This report was filed by Chevron employees after learning about Davis’s arrest.

The other photo depicts the back of the victim as she is standing at the counter with Davis standing to her right. It is likely the parents of this victim do not know about this incident. The San Luis Obispo Police Department is asking for anyone who is familiar with this victim, her family, or the vehicle associated with her to contact us immediately.
