Town of West New York Opens Cooling Centers
Residents Urged to Check on Neighbors Who May Need Assistance, Stay Out of Heat

Mayor Felix E. “Our cooling centers will be open, and we strongly encourage our residents to take advantage of them throughout the week and anytime conditions become dangerous," said Mayor Felix E. Roque, M.D. “We remind residents to stay out of the heat and to check on those who may need assistance.”

The Town of West New York opens cooling centers in air-conditioned public facilities for those experiencing physical discomfort in a heat wave, and anyone can take advantage of the cooling centers. West New York Cooling Centers are open 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the following locations:
  • 430 62nd Street
  • 6100 Adams Street
  • 6300 Adams Street
  • 5800 Jefferson Street
