HE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM HAS ISSUED A

* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR POOR DRAINAGE AREAS
FOR...
NORTHERN TALLADEGA COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL ALABAMA...
CALHOUN COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL ALABAMA...
ST. CLAIR COUNTY IN CENTRAL ALABAMA...
CLEBURNE COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL ALABAMA...

* UNTIL 430 PM CDT.

* AT 227 PM CDT, DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
THUNDERSTORMS WERE SPREADING ACROSS THE AREA. RAINFALL OF ONE TO
TWO INCHES HAS FALLEN DURING THE PAST HOUR IN LOCALIZED AREAS AND
ANOTHER ONE TO TWO INCHES IS POSSIBLE DURING THE NEXT HOUR. THIS
WILL PRODUCE LOCALIZED FLOODING OF STREETS AND ROADWAYS IN THE
AREA, ESPECIALLY NEAR SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS AND IN LOW-LYING
FLOOD PRONE AREAS WITH POOR DRAINAGE.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
ANNISTON, OXFORD, TALLADEGA, PELL CITY, JACKSONVILLE, LEEDS, MOODY,
RAINBOW CITY, PIEDMONT, SPRINGVILLE, ODENVILLE, HEFLIN, WEST
END-COBB TOWN, COBB TOWN, FORT MCCLELLAN, SAKS, LINCOLN, GLENCOE,
MARGARET AND ARGO.
