...Dangerous Heat and Humidity Expected Late This Week... ...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM FRIDAY TO 8 PM CDT SATURDAY... The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Heat Advisory, which is in effect from 10 AM Friday to 8 PM CDT Saturday.
* TEMPERATURE...High temperatures in the mid 90s are forecast both Friday and Saturday. Peak heat index readings of 105 to 110 are expected both afternoons.
* IMPACTS...The combination of heat and humidity will lead to an increased risk of heat-related stress and illness. The very young, the elderly, those without air conditioning, and those participating in strenuous outdoor activities will be the most susceptible. Also, car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
