Homicide Investigators seek the public's assistance to ID the suspect wanted in the fatal shooting in Bloomington

LOCATION: 13th Street/Pepper Ave., Bloomington
SUSPECT: Unidentified
VICTIM: Curtis Lee Wadkins, 37 years old, resident of Bloomington
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. dispatch received 911 calls reporting gunshots heard and a subject on a bicycle was down in the street. Deputies and medical aid responded and found a male, identified as Curtis Wadkins, suffering from a gunshot wound. Wadkins was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.
Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators responded to conduct the investigation. During their investigation, Detectives received information that a subject in a vehicle, possibly an SUV, shot Wadkins and then fled the scene.
