On June 24, 2018, Johnathan Merriman was shot and killed outside of Pruett's grocery store in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Although the investigation is still on-going, enough information and probable cause was developed to obtain an arrest warrant for a suspect. An arrest warrant was issued out of Hughes County for one count of MURDER IN THE FIRST DEGREE for Tyler Deerinwater A/K/A Tee Ross, dob: 09/26-1990. The OSBI, Hughes County Sheriff, and the US Marshal Service have been actively looking for Deerinwater. Deerinwater is considered armed and dangerous. If anyone knows the whereabouts of Deerinwater please do not approach him but contact the OSBI at 800-522-8017, the Hughes County Sheriff at 405-379-2203, or the local police.
