The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
June 25th
0752 Hours: Officers responded to the 35200 block of Newark Boulevard regarding a suspicious person walking in and out of traffic and yelling at passersby. Officer Mavrakis located a 40-year-old transient female and determined she was the influence of a Central Nervous System stimulant. The suspect was arrested and subsequently booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
0853 Hours: Officer Palacio investigated a burglary at Gachina Landscaping, 6750 Clark Avenue. The loss is gardening equipment.
1245 Hours: Officer Palacio contacted and arrested a 26-year-old Arizona female for her outstanding warrant during a routine traffic stop on the 36900 block of Thornton Avenue. The suspect was issued a citation and released at the scene.
1510 Hours: Officer Mavrakis investigated the grab and run theft of liquor from Lion Food Center, 39055 Cedar Boulevard. The investigation is ongoing.
1551 Hours: Officer Taylor investigated the theft of a white 1994 Honda Accord (CA License #3JUX177) on the 36600 block of Newark Boulevard.
