Narrative:
On May 20, 2018, deputies from the Thousand Oaks Police Department responded to a report of a robbery that had just occurred at CVS, 2120 Newbury Road, Thousand Oaks.  During the initial investigation, it was determined a store employee confronted a suspect as he was walking out of the store with approximately $3500 in stolen merchandise.  During the confrontation, the suspect told the employee, “If you’re going to follow me, I’m going to pull out a gun and shoot you.”  The suspect then got into a vehicle and fled the scene.  Witnesses obtained the suspect’s license plate as he fled the scene.

Detectives from the Thousand Oaks Police Department took over the investigation and identified the suspect as Brandon Magee who resides in the Victorville area.  The investigation revealed Magee had an active arrest warrant for robbery out of Riverside County.

On 05/23/2018, Detectives from the Thousand Oaks Police Department and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Division, located Magee in San Bernardino County and arrested him for the outstanding robbery warrant.  During the arrest, Magee was found in possession of a loaded semi-automatic handgun and the same clothing he wore during the commission of the Thousand Oaks CVS robbery.  Magee was booked into the San Bernardino County Jail and was able to post $50,000.00 bail for his release.

Based in part on evidence obtained during the warrant arrest, Thousand Oaks detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Magee for the Thousand Oaks CVS robbery.  Detectives again located Magee in San Bernardino County and arrested him for the warrant.  He was booked into the San Bernardino County Jail with $100,000.00 bail.  Magee posted bail and is set to appear in Ventura County Superior Court on August 23, 2018.
