UPDATE #2: ARREST IN THE SHOOTING INVESTIGATION January 26th 2018: 2300 block N. Pine Street, Wilmington, DE 19802

UPDATE #2:

After continued investigation, Andre Fletcher-Hargrow was developed as a suspect in reference to the murder of Zahviaire Berry-Shivers from January 26, 2018 at E. 23rd Street and N. Pine Street, Wilmington, Delaware.

 

On Wednesday, June 6, 2018, the Delaware Department of Justice authorized an arrest warrant for Andre Fletcher-Hargrow on the criminal charges OF Murder 1st Degree and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.

 

On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, Andre Fletcher-Hargrow was apprehended in Upper Darby, PA by officers of the U.S. Marshals Service, First State Fugitive Task Force.

 

On Friday, June 22, 2018 at 1000 hours, Andre Fletcher-Hargrow was brought to the William McLaughlin Public Safety Building, 300 N. Walnut Street, Wilmington, Delaware.

 

He was arrested on the above listed criminal charges, and his arraignment is pending.



UPDATE #1:

The 18-year-old victim, who was shot yesterday at 4:30 pm,  27 January, succumbed to his injuries.

The victim has been identified as ZAHVIAIRE BERRY-SHIVERS, 18, of WILMINGTON.

After the shooting, BERRY-SHIVERS was driven to the Wilmington Hospital by a private vehicle.  He had sustained several gun shot wounds to his body.

At approximately 4:59 hours, 29 minutes later,  he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

The incident occurred in the 2300 block of N. Pine Street.

On Friday, 26 January 2018, at approximately 4:30 pm, Wilmington Police were summoned to the Wilmington Hospital reference a shooting victim who walked into the hospital.

Upon the officers arrival they made contact with an 18-year-old male, who sustained more than one gun shot wound to his torso.  The victim is currently undergoing sugery.  His condition is unknown.
