Stephen Box had slipped and fallen while hiking at the base of the waterfall. When he fell, he injured his right knee and could not hike from the area.
Due to the rugged terrain, the crew determined a hoist rescue was needed to safely remove him from the area. Sheriff’s Helicopter Air Rescue 306 responded, and Air Medic Katzer was lowered to him. After placing him in a rescue harness, they were both hoisted from the location.
