LIRR 2nd Track Project: Notification of Road Detour
The Contractor working on the LIRR 2nd Track Project is required to expand the Railroad grade crossing equipment at numerous locations where roads intersect with LIRR track (to accomodate the new 2nd track)
This Saturday, June 23rd, 6AM through 6PM and Sunday, June 24th, 6AM through 3PM they will be closing Commack Road at the LIRR grade crossing and detouring traffic as directed in their professionally engineered MPT road detour plans which complies with NYS DOT traffic control standards and has been reviewed with LIRR. Be advised, construction will be performed only on LIRR property.
