Deputies arrest six suspects for attempted carjacking

DATE/TIME: June 5, 2018, at approximately 1:20 p.m.

INCIDENT: PC 664/215 Attempt Carjacking

SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, June 5, 2018, at approximately 1:20 p.m., deputies from the Fontana Sheriff’s Station responded to the area near Slover Mountain High School in Bloomington after a reported fight involving several individuals.

When Deputy C. Stowell arrived, he contacted three victims from Slover Mountain High School and found the suspects had left. Stowell learned four suspects, later identified as Gregory Ray, Isaiah Anderson, Brandon Moore, and Kedesh Avinger, attacked the victim’s and attempted to carjack their vehicle.

Through further investigation, four search warrants were authored for several locations in the City of Colton and unincorporated area of San Bernardino. On Wednesday, June 20, 2018, a multi-agency operation commenced which included sworn law enforcement personnel from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Fontana Sheriff's Station, Yucaipa Sheriff's Station, Highland Sheriff's Station, Central Sheriff's Station, San Bernardino County Probation Department, and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Regional Valley Gang Task Force. At the conclusion of the operation and service of search warrants, Ray, Moore and Avinger were arrested for felony charges related to the attempted carjacking investigation. Deion Francisco and the 17-year-old male juvenile were arrested for possession of a loaded firearm, believed to be stolen from a residential burglary in the City of San Bernardino. An additional firearm was located with an obliterated serial number during the search warrants.
