Detectives arrest daycare worker Caitlin Hourston for willful cruelty to a child.

SUSPECT: Caitlin Danielle Hourston, 22-year-old resident of Fort Irwin
BAIL AMOUNT: $100,000
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, June 12, 2018, the victim’s mother took her to Weed Army Community Hospital Emergency Department in Fort Irwin for an unexplained injury to her left thigh. Upon medical examination, the victim was found to have a fracture to her left femur and was transferred to Loma Linda University Medical Center. Forensic Pediatricians from LLUMC examined the victim and discovered the victim also had a subdural hematoma. All of the vicitm’s injuries were consistent with suspected child abuse. Caitlin Hourston babysat the victim and other children in an unlicensed daycare in Fort Irwin. On Friday, June 15, 2018, Hourston was arrested for PC 273a(a), she was booked at Central Detention Center in San Bernardino and her bail was set for $100,000.
Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are releasing Hourston’s booking photograph.
