The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.

June 20th

0627 Hours: Officer Palacio investigated two auto burglaries on the 5900 block of Mowry Avenue. The loss is miscellaneous tools.

0812 Hours: Officer Wilkerson contacted and arrested a 30-year-old Oakland male for his outstanding warrant at the dead-end of Mowry Road. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.

1053 Hours: Officer D. Johnson investigated the theft of a black, 2018 Dodge Charger (CA License #7ZMW414) on the 5300 block of Saint Mark Avenue.

1530 Hours: Officer Palacio investigated an auto burglary on the 5900 block of Mowry Avenue. The loss is miscellaneous tools.

1726 Hours: Officer Wallace contacted and arrested a 26-year-old transient male for possession of metal (“brass”) knuckles during a pedestrian stop on the 5400 block of Thornton Avenue. The suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
