The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a
* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for... Northeastern Vermilion County in east central Illinois...
* Until 1130 PM CDT
* At 825 PM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain causing urban and small stream flooding in Rossville. Up to one to two inches of rain has already fallen with another one half to one inch possible over the next hour.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hoopeston, Rossville, Henning and Alvin.
* AFFECTED AREAS: VERMILION
Instructions:
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
