CITY OF SANTA ANA CELEBRATES JUNE AS NATIONAL HOMEOWNERSHIP MONTH WITH HOMEOWNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

NeighborWorks of Orange County in collaboration with the City of Santa Ana and the Delhi Center will be hosting a free Orange County Homebuyer Fair on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 10:00am – 2:00 pm at the Delhi Community Center located at 505 E. Central Ave. in Santa Ana. This event is open to anyone throughout the county who is interested in buying a home. Workshops will be offered in English and Spanish.
Habitat for Humanity Home for Sale:
Habitat for Humanity of Orange County is looking for income qualified families to purchase one affordable priced home located at 4026 West McFadden Ave. in Santa Ana. The total household income of interested applicants must be below 120% of area median income in Orange County. Down Payment Assistance Loans Available:
The City of Santa Ana is pleased to announce the availability of financing to assist Income qualified Santa Ana residents an opportunity to become first-time homeowners. The program is funded through the City of Santa Ana Inclusionary Housing Fund and Community Development Block Grant program. The Program offers zero percent, deferred payment loans of up to $80,000 for Low Income Households and up to $40,000 for Moderate Income Households.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Borrower(s) must be a resident of Santa Ana and/or work in Santa Ana at least 32 hours per week for at least the last 6 months.

• In addition, Borrower(s):
• Must be pre-qualified for a 1st mortgage
• Must be a first time homebuyer
• Make a down payment of at least 3% from own funds
• Must complete the Homebuyer Counseling Program through NeighborWorks of Orange County
• Home must be located in Santa Ana
• Total Annual Income of the household, cannot exceed the Income limits provided below:
