Suspect arrested for obstructing/resisting an executive officer

INCIDENT: Obstructing/Resisting Executive Officer
LOCATION: W. Broadway Street and E Street, Needles
SUSPECT(S): Dane Jackson Perry, 32 year old resident of Needles
VICTIM(S):
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at about 3:25p.m. Deputy Bengard was driving east on W. Broadway Street near E. Street in Needles responding to a radio call. The suspect, Dane Perry, ran into the roadway with a rock in his hand and was about the throw the rock at the Sheriff’s vehicle. Deputy Bengard stopped his vehicle and at this time Dane Perry turned and ran away.
Deputy Bengard gave chase and was able to catch up to Perry on W. Broadway Street and F. Street. Perry resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody. Perry was arrested for obstructing/resisting an executive officer. He was booked into the High Desert Detention Center. Perry was found to be on supervised release per AB 109 and a no-bail hold was placed on him.
