Clarification to the incorrect first name used in the narrative section of the earlier NIXLE regarding Sergeant James Prusinowski.

Correction: The earlier NIXLE regarding Sergeant James Prusinowski had an incorrect mention of "Jason Prusinowski's wife" in the "Note" section of the narrative. It has been corrected to read "James Prusinowski's wife." We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Please see below for the corrected NIXLE:

Yesterday, the 14th Circuit Solicitor's Office dismissed the domestic violence charge on Sheriff's Office Sergeant James Prusinowski that stemmed from a disturbance at his residence last Wednesday night—June 13, 2018—in the Town of Bluffton. In addition, the internal affairs investigation conducted by the Sheriff's Office's Office of Professional Responsibility revealed that no policies were violated by Sergeant Prusinowski during the incident. Sheriff P.J. Tanner announced today that Sergeant Prusinowski will be taken off of administrative leave and reinstated to full duty.

Note- The Solicitor's Office also dismissed the domestic violence charge on James Prusinowski's wife, who was also charged in the incident.

We appreciate your partnership and continued commitment to the safety of our community.
