Deputy clocks vehicle at 100 mph and makes two arrests. 
On June 17, 2018, at approximately 5:42 p.m. Sergeant Bruce Vanoven observed a Beige 2006 Chevy passenger car traveling southbound on Interstate 69 at 100 miles per hour. Upon initiating a traffic stop Sgt. Vanoven began a roadside investigation that resulted in the arrest of the driver 49 year old Eddie M. Geary for Reckless Driving. A passenger in the vehicle 44 year old Richard A. Geary was also arrested for Possession of a Legend Drug. Both individuals are from the Madisonville Kentucky area and were transported to the Gibson County Jail.
Assisting Sgt. Vanoven in his investigation was Oakland City Police Chief T. A. Gaines and Gibson County Sheriff’s Deputy Jennifer Loesch.
Eddie Geary remains in custody on a $450 bond and Richard Geary remains in custody on a $750 bond.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
