On Saturday, June 16, 2018, at approximately 4:13 P.M., a motorcycle collision occurred in the northbound lanes of Lawrence Expressway north of Stevens Creek Boulevard. The motorcyclist was changing lanes when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck the curb, the guard rail, and subsequently a tree adjacent to the roadway. The result of the impact left the motorcyclist with major injuries. He was transported to a local area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The motorcyclist is a male, 33-years old, and a resident of the City of San Jose.
The roadway was closed for several hours while the investigation was completed.
