Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting of a male black adult that occurred on the 900 block of North Rose Avenue, Compton.
 
On Saturday, June 16, 2018, at about 11:04p.m., Compton Station deputies responded to the location regarding a shots fired, gunshot victim call.  Upon arriving, they discovered a single victim down at the scene.  The victim was suffering from what appeared to be at least one gunshot wound to the body.  The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. 
 
Homicide investigators responded to the location where they learned there was a large party at the location.  Numerous individuals began arguing and a shooting ensued.

There is no description of the shooter suspect.

Investigators believe this is a gang-related incident.
