Bear Sighting 202 Corridor Near BJ's 
The Yorktown Police Department has received multiple reports of a black bear along the Route 202 (Crompond Rd.) corridor near BJ's, Lexington Ave., Sylvan Glen Park Preserve, the Yorktown Paw Park and Stony St.
There is no indication at this time that the bear is sick or injured. Please be aware of your surroundings and use caution in the area, especially with small children and pets. While it may be tempting to photograph the bear, please DO NOT approach it and notify the Yorktown Police Department on our non-emergency number, (914) 962-4141.
Yorktown Police Officers and the Yorktown Animal Control Officer are in the area.
