Missing Laumaka work furlough inmate Mark Cheshire arrested. Will be returned to OCCC. He faces an additional escape charge.

The Department of Public Safety was notified that missing Laumaka work furlough inmate Mark Cheshire was arrested by Honolulu Police just before 2pm. Cheshire failed to return to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center from his day pass on June 13. He will be processed and returned to OCCC. We want to extend a thank you to the Honolulu Police Department for his capture and return to custody.

41-year old Cheshire is serving time for Terroristic Threatening 1 and now faces an additional escape charge. Parole was tentatively approved and pending a release date set by the parole chair.

He is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program with pass privileges. Community custody is the lowest classification status.
