On 06/14/18 at 10:42 P.M., officers of the Janesville Police Department responded to the report of an Armed Robbery at the BP Gas Station located at 1604 E. Racine.
A suspect came in and demanded money from the register. No weapon was observed but the suspect implied they had one. The suspect received an undetermined amount of U.S. currency and fled the scene on foot. The clerk was unharmed.
A Janesville PD K-9 team tracked the suspect but was unable to locate them. An evidence technician assisted with processing the scene. At this time the investigation is on-going. Video surveillance is being reviewed.
Suspect Description
The suspect was described as an M/W, 5’5, light complexion, reddish facial hair and was last seen wearing a grey full-zip hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and dark colored shoes. The suspect also had a white t-shirt wrapped around their face.
