Body Found Floating in Creek

On June 14, 2018, at around 9:00 am the Fairfield Police Department received a call from a concerned citizen. The citizen was riding on a train through town and saw what appeared to be a body floating in a creek near the railroad tracks. Officers responded and in fact, found a body floating face down in a creek to the east of the 400 blk of Union Ave near the railroad tracks.

The area was cordoned off and searched for any potential evidence. A team of rescue divers from the Solano County Office of Emergency Services was contacted and conducted a recovery of the body. There was no sign of obvious trauma to the body, and no evidence of foul play was found in the area. Detectives are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The body recovered appeared to be that of a female adult 30 to 40 years of age and was not clothed at the time of recovery.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Fairfield Police Department at (707)428-7444.
