On Monday, June 11, 2018, at about 7:36 PM, Turlock Police Department received a report of a subject shot in the 300 block of Mitchell Avenue. Officers responded to find a male juvenile outside a residence who had been shot at least once with an undisclosed caliber firearm. Officers performed CPR on the victim until relieved by paramedics who eventually transported the victim to a local hospital. Despite these lifesaving efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries and died.

Officers secured the scene until Turlock Police Detectives arrived to take over the investigation. The investigation revealed that the victim was a 17-year old male. This is still an active investigation with Detectives conducting interviews and processing evidence.
