Recently the San Gabriel Valley Crime Impact Task Force (CITF) conducted operations that spanned several weeks which targeted street level narcotics dealers.  The CITF utilized several specialized units from the Pomona Police Department, as well as assistance from the El Monte Police Department  during the course of the entire operation.  The operations specifically targeted narcotics dealers who were a nuisance to citizens and business owners along East Holt. The operations recently concluded with six cases being submitted to the DA’s office for filing.  These filings resulted in  the issuance of arrest warrants and those subjects being taken into custody.  One of these subjects recently pleaded to a six year prison sentence.

The Pomona Police Department has been conducting directed enforcement on the area known as the “Holt Corridor” to address quality of life issues such as prostitution, human trafficking and narcotics.

The San Gabriel Valley Crime Impact Task Force (Formerly the SGV East AB 109 Task Force) is comprised of investigators from Pomona, El Monte, Claremont, San Gabriel, Cal State University (Pomona) Police and the Los Angeles County Probation Department. The team is headquartered at the Pomona Police Department and their mission is to combat high priority crimes that occur in any of the cities that are represented on the task force.
