The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.

June 11th

0903 Hours: Officer D. Johnson contacted and arrested a 59-year-old transient male for his outstanding warrant during a pedestrian stop on Cedar Boulevard at St. Mark Avenue. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.

1013 Hours: Community Service Officer Parks investigated the theft of a black, 2000 Yamaha R1 Motorcycle (CA License #21E3991) on the 39800 block of Cedar Boulevard.

1613 Hours: Officer Jackman investigated an injury accident on the 35000 block of Newark Boulevard. The injured party was treated at the scene.

1900 Hours: During a citizen requested security check in the area of Truckee Court at Levi Street, Officer Herbert contacted and arrested a 23-year-old San Jose male for his outstanding warrant. The suspect was issued a citation and released at the scene.
