Stabbing at Sebastopol Flea Market

Yesterday, a man was stabbed at the Sebastopol Flea Market. The call came in just after 4:00 PM that a man had been attacked and stabbed in his stomach. Deputies responded and contacted the victim, a 32-year-old Rohnert Park man. He had several stab wounds and was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The area was searched for a suspect but none was located. Deputies interviewed the victim in the hospital and he told them that he had been at the flea market with his family earlier in the day. He drove his family home to Rohnert Park then came back alone to the flea market where he parked in the far west corner of the main parking lot.

While he was standing by his truck, the suspect approached him on foot from the west field and asked him for a dollar. When the victim opened his wallet to give the suspect a dollar, the man hit him over the head with a blunt object and then stabbed him in the arm and stomach. The suspect took his wallet and ran back towards the west field.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, early 20’s-30’s, slicked back hair, goatee and mustache, approximately 5’4” tall, wearing a white tee shirt and black baggy pants.

If anyone has information about this crime they are encouraged to call Sheriff’s Detectives at 707-565-2185.
